Need recommendations - likely a dumb question

Likely a dumb question....Right now I'm running 2 Polk Audio towers along with an old set of Sony subwoofers (yes I know....they are soon being replaced). My only issue is they stick out from the sides of the wall. For sound quality, etc....would I be better off getting another set of good bookshelf speakers and mounting them from the wall alongside of my entertainment center, or should I leave it as is? Thanks in advance!

Are you troubled by the Speakers being a little out from the Wall your TV is mounted on? How would wall mounts solve your problem?

I would keep the Towers, and absolutely focus on getting the Subs replaced. Also, moving the Subs off the Front wall might be a great option. You can place them strategically in the room to get better bass response and perhaps really increase the feel for movie watching.

You could then slide the towers in a little, though I wouldn't push them in too much. Absolute minimum distance between towers should be 6', 8' is always preferable for good stereo separation.

Not really. Our sectional takes up the other wall.

Are the towers getting in the way of traffic flow in the room? If not, I would stay with the tower speakers and upgrade the subs as you’re planning. Suggest looking for subs that are taller and not as wide like you have now. If not they will push your towers even further out unless you move them to other parts of the room if possible.
