need RCA, but only have digital out

I am trying to setup a multizone system that has 6 sources of input, that are all RCA, Red/white. My cheap reciever only has digital outputs. I have looked at several cheap receivers and none of them seem to have RCA outputs. Is there any way to make the digital output into a RCA connection? Even mono would do if I could play mono through both speakers.?
Thanks.

What "multizone system" are you trying to set up? Is is a zone amplifier or what? If it's not a zone amp. please go into more detail.

All zone amplifiers I've encountered only have analog inputs. They are designed to be driven by the red/white analog outputs from a receiver, usually maned zone 1, zone2, etc.. A six channel zone amp would handle three zones.

Actually, I've never seen any receivers with digital zone outputs. The only "zone outputs" I've ever seen are of the red/white analog variety.

Are we on the same page here?

What you are looking for is called a DAC, Digital to analog converter. You can find them for under 100 bucks for a basic model.

DAC. I'll take a look.

The receiver doesn't have multiple zones. Just a regular 5.1 receiver. I was looking for a way to output this receiver as a source into my Jamo Abus RCA inputs. That way I could play the tuner through the Abus, or whatever else I could output on the receiver.

You may want to check your manual to make sure that an analog source is converted to digital and then passed out of that digital output.

I could be totally off-base here but a little checking might save some frustration down the road.
