Just purchased new LG Hp 3D tv has cat 5 hook up

of course it is a smart TV with cat 5 hook up

my dish network box has cat 5 hook up

my Integra recevier hs cat 5 hook up

my Blue ray player has cat 5 hook up



do you need all of them hooked up to the internet or just one.


please advise.

Any of the components you want to have an internet connection will need to be hooked up.

The bluray player would be good to have hooked up as without regular updates some newer disks will refuse to play due to copyright protection changes.

If you want to use the receiver's streaming features it will need to be plugged in.

If you want to use the TV's smart features it will need to be plugged in.

If you don't care about these then you don't need to worry about it at all.
