Hey, no worries about the two threads - I was just letting you know.
How many speakers are you running off of that receiver? If those are your main speakers, then you would hook them up to the Front L and R speaker jacks.
The manual does say that the impedance range for the receiver is 8 to 16 Ohms, so running speakers that are rated at 4 Ohms poses a risk to the receiver and the speakers. I'm not sure that is why they wouldn't sound as loud. [Note: How loud they sound, and the bass that you hear/feel, is also a function of the room that they are in and where they are located in the room. If your room is a lot bigger than the room in which you first heard them, then they could certainly sound quieter and with less bass.]
Are your speakers set to "Large" or "Small"? If they are set to "Small", then the receiver isn't sending them bass below a certain frequency - so set them to "Large" and see if you get the bass that you were expecting. If you are using these with a subwoofer, then we can discuss which setting is better for you. I'm just suggesting that you set them to "Large" for now to test out the bass in your new speakers.
