I just received speakers from a mate for a b'day, could u explain what they mean im very new to loudspeakers, and i dont know what any of it means, Are they any good?

They seem to be good, are they towers or bookshelfs?

i dont know what the brand is . its some skinny thing that look like 2 towers. not sure what bookshelves even mean. How good is the speakers?
