I just bought a Yahama RX-V2600 AV receiver
It is connected to polk audio RTI-10 fronts,A polk audio CSI-5 center
and Polk audio book shelf speakers for surround .
My biggest complaint is that when watching video the volume is not constant,
when comercials come on the volume nearly doubles and is terribly irritating
my last av receiver did not suffer from this and it was an el cheapo radioshack/rca $200.00 unit
I am sure that there must be something in the yahama that can be set up to compensate for record levels. But I cant find it in the users manual
I have a simular problem when watching dvd movies. If the volume is set high enough to hear the spoken dialog, the music passages will blow you out of the room, again verry irritating. can anyone help me with this setup problem?
I am just before taking the unit back and trying to find something that behaves better.
Thank you
Glenn
