need help with hdmi

im trying to run a new dell computer thru a onkio 805 to a pioneer fpj1 projector with a hdmi but I do not get a signal. I do get a signal when I connect directly to the projector with the hdmi cable. thanks for any advice or suggestion

Hi. Have you assigned the HDMI input on the receiver that you're using (e.g. "HDMI IN 1") to the source selection (e.g. "DVD") that you are using? If not, check out page 48 of the owner's manual and do that - that should fix the problem. If you have done that, let us know, and we'll keep trying to get you set up.

Along with Adams recommendations you also will need to make sure your computer is set for 1080P (1920x1080) resolution. The receiver will not accept a resolution higher than that. Also make sure your HDMI settings are set to "through" so there will be no processing of the signal.

I wil try setting the computer settings. the recevier settings worked fine when I disconnected from my dvd player. thanks.

It works I changed the computer settings for res & sound thanks again
