I just got a Pioneer Elite VSX 54-TX reciever and hooked it up to my Klipsch RB35/RC35. The left front channel sounds fuzzy when I play something with strong bass
. The tweeter and midrange seem totally fine. It's not the speaker, because I plugged the right speaker into the left front output and got the same result (even though it sounded great when hooked into the right front output on the reciever). Also, using different cables (using Belden 5000, 12 gauge with banana plugs) gave the same result. The banana plugs were checked to make sure there is a tight connection, the reciever post was screwed down tight. I checked the interlink, I'm using a optical digital monster cable, switched to the red/white cables, same result - fuzzy bass on the left speaker output. I made sure the cables don't cross power lines except at a 90 degree angle, placed the speaker on the carpet to limit possible vibrations, moved the speaker around, no improvement. Even tried different CD's with heavy bass, same result. I hear no noise when nothing's playing, and I'm using a line conditioner to hook everything up to. Anyone have a suggestion?
I think I've ruled out external possiblities, and must conclude it's the fault of the reciever itself. Any thoughts on how to solve this aggrivating problem?
Thanks for any help. Rellik
