I was following the video of Gene and Theo about using Audyssey from March of last year. Basically a great video, except for one thing I absolutely do not understand.
There is a point when Theo posts a link to download pink noise files from Dynaudio. One uses the files to properly set the speaker levels outside my pre/pro, since doing it through my Marantz 7704, according to Gene and Theo, will disable Audyssey. The point is that Audyssey is notorious for lowering the bass output. I feel that the video actually leaves out some explanations:
1. Which file from Dynaudio do I use?
2. If I do not use my Marantz to generate the pink noise, how do I get the pink noise to play only through my sub so I can set the level properly?
