hey guys i am new to the site, i am 16 but 17 in two months and i have purchased a sony blackscreen for 50 quid of ma m8 perfectly good werkin order boxed and everything. not robbed codes fine, but i need the remote to type the code in can someone please help me and sugest where the get a remote for a CDX-M600R cheers

Hi Jake, I'm going to assume that with the Quid comment you are a Brit, so here's a site that is selling the remote you need for 65 pounds. website That may be a lot considering you only paid 50 in the first place. You can order it direct from sony for $45 US Sony Last place to check would be The UK's ebay. I found one listing for 10 pounds, but there were more to be had. ebay listing

Finally if you can solder heres a link that might help, solder fix link I'm no techie so I can't attest to the validity of the fix, but it was a common suggestion on the web. Good luck

Sony likes using a lot of the same remote codes with multiple products, so if you know someone with a Pronto style remote that accepts HEX codes, you can try something like this:

It's what I would do instead of spending a lot on a Sony remote.

Of course BMXTRIX is right. The answer was too simple and makes too much sense for for me to have come up with. His idea is cheaper and quicker if you know someone.
