Need Help Picking Speakers

Need Help Picking Speakers- Sooo Confused

I have a large room. 15*18*20height. It is open at rear end to loft. My HD TV is in a corner. There is little room for speakers next to either side of TV without making it look cluttered. I have no wall to attacth to. I have the Sony withh the laege speaker ears. They take up valuable space. I may have to put speakers in front of them.

Most of my viewing is sports and TV. Some movies. I love high quality musical sound. I am perplexed as to what to buy. Small, thin, ?????.

Any ideas? Need receiver ideas too. I don't blast sound but like clarity.

Please help.

Are you looking for a complete new 5.1 system retiring your sonys? Also total budget including the new receiver.

Considering your space issues, maybe you should look into something like the PSB vision series.
