Need help pairing speakers with a new receiver

I have to replace my Denon 3805 receiver with something new and I'm looking for suggestions. I have original Klipsch RF7s RC7, RS7 and 2 RSW 15 subs. I did not care for the 2312ci Denon. It felt like a huge step down. That said I don't mind staying with Denon, but it sounds like for the money I might be able to a better receiver.

I'm looking for either a stand alone receiver or and amp. Ideally, it's 3d ready and most importantly it must be a good match with klipsch.

Any suggestions?

Budget? Mainly for HT I assume? Receivers really don't "match" speakers. It's basically, can the receiver drive the speaker and does it have the features you want at the price point.

I cant afford a 3000 receiver/ amp.
Ideally stay at 1500.00
for HT movstly TV/movies/games.
You are correct about amps. However, I would disagree about pairing as far as receivers go. For example Klipsch have a very warm sound so pairing them say with a pioneer elite receiver was not a good match. Power wise. From what I understand they are very efficient speakers but of course I would love to give them some more power.

If anyone lives in Los Angeles and can recommend a place other than Magnolia to go to I would also appreciate it. Those guys have been no help.

Has nothing to do with it. You just don't like the sound of Klipsch speakers.

This whole "match" thing is just your imagination, probably fueled by what people on the internet are telling you.

I've never before heard Klipsch described as "warm" but that aside there are no warm or bright receivers. There are differences in real world power output and features but not warmth or brightness.

You occasionally see a Denon AVR-4311ci go on sale for under (sometimes well under) $1500 from an authorized dealer and that would be my first choice. An AVR-3312ci should be well within your budget as well.

I have owned many receivers and some Klipsch reference line speakers.
I only hear a minor (minor) difference in the processing, and direct mode
is direct. In general, the minor processing did not change the character
of the Klipsch sound. As far as the minor difference in receiver processing,
The Yamaha's would have a slight (minor/small) warmer sound. For me
when I listen to Klipsch Reference, I need a blanket.:)
Speaker placement and room treatment, is the key.
