Just moved in a house that has 4 built in-wall speakers, 2 front facing speakers and 2 ceiling speakers. But I have 6 total bananas plugs, 5 to the sides and one essential behind where the entertainment/tv should be. I have tried connecting it to a receiver and the battery “trick” but still no sound. I tried testing the ohms with a multimeter and got no resistance. I believe it could either be the speakers problem or the wiring problem to the banana plug or could just be not knowing how to wire it from the receiver to the banana plugs, due to 1 of the bananas plug be somewhere else, I believe it could be pass through. So would I need to a close the circuit for it to work? And does anyone know a reason why each pair of banana plug is red and black wire connected to it but 1 quadruple banana plug have 4 cable (Red, black, white and green)?
Thank you for the help!!

Seriously, I have no life.
This is what 5 out 6 bananas plugs look like
You will have to take out the speakers and see which wires connect to what. Those systems are usually installed wrong by builders and not worth worrying with and are a lost cause more often than not.

If you have a receiver then do yourself a favor and invest in decent speakers and forget the in wall/ceiling speakers were ever there.
