Yeah it's the Epson 5040ube. It's rated for up to 300 in
All projector manufacturers wildly inflate their specs. 300" with that projector is a non-starter, it can not do it, period. Projector Central's projection calculator says that screen size should be OK with a 20' throw on a 16:9 screen that has a 1.0 gain. However, I would still consider shrinking that image down some, since Epsons specs are likely inflated. As the bulbs age, they will dim anyway, so you don't want to push it out to maximum screen sizes right away; factor in the life of the bulb, because most of that bulb's life won't have that initial brightness (unless you want to change the bulb every 200 hours). I would definitely go down in screen size if you want to watch 3D movies, which need a lot of brightness. If I were you I would aim for a 120" to 130" screen, that is more realistic with that type of projector's capabilities, and it is still a very large screen, and it will also allow you to get over 3,000 hours out of that bulb with a real nice image the whole way.
How is the bass on the 8 in sub
Its difficult to call that thing a subwoofer. Look at some real subwoofers, they are more expensive, but if you cheap out on the subs, your theater will be sadness, believe me.
