I am trying to connect a star choice sattelite receiver to an LG 42LB5D L.C.D T.V. I have a Blue Jeans DVI to HDMI cable running from the sattelite receiver to the HDMI 1 on the back of the television. Picture is great but i can't get any sound on the television. In the manual it says when connecting DVI to HDMI you have to run a seperate audio cable to the RGB/DVI jack. Apperently with this model you can only connect audio to this jack if running DVI to HDMI. This is not your standard digital/optical or red white analog jack. This RGB/DVI audio jack looks very similar to what i would plug in headphones too.
My question is how do i connect audio from the star choice receiver to this RGB/DVI jack to get sound on the television? How do i use the analog red white audio to hook up to the rgb/dvi audio input on the t.v. And what is this cable called if there is one that will do the job for this.
