Need help and guidance for a newbie!!!

Okay thank you!....do you know of any center and main combinations at a decent price that accomplish this? and how do i check for the matching quality and ability?

Just depends on what you consider to be a decent price.

The list of quality speakers is unbelievable.

As far as matching quality and ability, you could simply refer to drivers used.

Are they the same drivers used in the mains?

Are they the same size?

Is the speaker a similar design?

Are the specs closely matched?

If all of the above are answered yes, and you find the pair that suits your taste, then you should be in good shape.

Speakers are the mostly debated products on this forum. What matters most is what you like.

As for the second post thanks for pointing that out i'll have to compare different ones. I'm in the process of my building my new computer so i hope to have this set up done in reasonable time. It's just difficult for me to compare different ones because I really have no clue what to look for.

Thanks for pointing all of that out it gives me a better idea of what i need to learn.
