Since you have a tight budget and already own a sub, you may have more choices if you go with bookshelf speakers instead of floor standers.

Also check out Fry's Electronics (if you have one locally) or Outpost.com and watch for the Polk R30s or R50s (floor standers) and the Csi25 (center) to go on sale. They offer good bangs for your bucks.

If I remember correctly those Polk's R-30's go on sale for $39.95, and the R-50's for $69.95 at Outpost.

Sounds about right, though that's the price for each speaker, not per pair :). Csi25 runs for around $80 on sale I think.

well i dont want bookshelfs ..my sub works to much and carries upstairs and everywhere else as it is bigtime..with my reciever set for small speakers i believe it puts to much juice to the sub and its not in the corner i would like some floor standing speakers that are around 120 -150 watts max ..because the pioneer 1015tx is 120w per channnel but you definatlely gave me some good speaker prices

I bought some R50's from Fry's/Outpost but did so by calling them at 1-877-688-7678. They werent listed on the website at $69 each but when I called they gave me that price. Shipping was $19 each to VA but still a great deal. Also, when I bought them they only had them in the cherry color.

You may have to give them the item number when you call them on the phone, thats how they found them when I ordered. If needed I can send it to you once I get home from work tonight.

Onix X-LS

AV123.com will have a floorstander version of their Onix X-LS speakers available soon for $300 / pair. They will play down to 40 Hz and should sound better than most entry level speakers and look better with real wood veneer. The matching center will be about $100, comming in your budget.

I belive it will be vinyl, not wood veneer.
