I'm looking at an outlaw 990.
How does outlaw equipment sound vs other manufacturers?



The rear center channel went out on my Rotel 1068 recently. It started making static then webt out completely. This is the second one which I've had trouble with the surround channels otherwise it was fine and was happy with it.

I have an Adcom 5 ch pre-pro that was ok for its time but the rotel stomped it.

I have an onkyo avr that I'm not excited about either.

Dunno, is there some sort of definitive source of how manufacturer's products "sound"? Especially to you?

It sounds neutral.

But why aren't you looking at newer models?

I tried the 990 for a few days before returning. It was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

This one is within my budget and it's pretty close.

I expect the repair cost of either of my rotels would exceed their value.

What about a sunfire TGP5?
Anyone with one of these?
Do you like it? Hate it?
How are they for reliability? Ease of use?
Again it's a little old 2007 I think. But this one has very little use.
