Need advice on Towers and Brands For ROCK N ROLL

You can probably do better considering your budget, but I've been extremely happy with my EMPTek e55ti towers that were recommended here. They can do loud.

I agree with Lordhumungus. I own the EMP55Ti's and they're very nice and get very loud.

But...

With your budget and what you're looking to do with them, these may be a better choice.

I talked to him, he said to call when you are interested, OPUS2-3's are kick A$$, I wanted a pair so bad and for around $2500 it was well worth it, but my wife said they were too big, and they are quite large... Dual 10's, forget about it... I am very happy with my EVo40's...

If I can throw my .02 in the hat...I'd say if you want "LOUD-LOUD" get some powered cabs and install a pro system. 5K could easily give you tinnitus in a matter of minutes and you could use the XPA for something it was designed to do. The distortion would then be kept to the guitar.

If I wanted loud this is the way I would go. My living room is 103.7 db and my (2) QSC K12 out "Loud" my living room.

That would be loud, BUT HUGE, I have a big house, and I wouldn't have room for that lol...
A friend of mine has 2 EV 1122's {I think they are 500w each, and the k12's are easily double that each}, and an EV sub, all hooked to a DAC and Ipad.. He uses it outside for big parties... It is loud, I couldnt picture it inside a house...

We use ours for the wife's school concerts but it plays double duty in the basement during the off season. I have it to my laptop, phone and mixer/guitar/keyboard/sax mic/voice mic.. I cannot remember the last time it went passed the 2 on any slide. Seems the op has a large room though. Whew! What a rock concert eh lol.

Something from JTR would also fit in your budget if no one has mentioned that yet. They will also do very, very loud!
