hello im new to this forum please bear with me ok? ive been working on a small project with my son he got a polk audio hitmaster and it looks really good but it has amplifier issues. This particular speaker has rca and aux inputs it has a shape to it like a mini stage monitor and ive grown fond of it. when its hooked up and you can turn it wide open and barely here the sound cant even tell what songs playing it so low. this unit saysthat the amplifier thats built in is a radiation pattern single point stereo array, the small encloser is ported max spl 103db 1m/1w but if this amplifier is toast i was wondering if anyone has had any kind of dealings with this gaming speaker? it has a 6.5inch woofer it claims to have two 2.5"x 5.5inch horn tweeters with 1inch neodymium tweeters on each side of the 6.5inch woofer and it looks like the woofer is a dvc speaker the amplifier itself has 4 speaker wires coming from it with lhf left high freq and a rhf right high freq then the left low freq hooks upto one side of the woofer and the right low freq hooks to the other side of the woofer. they say its a total of 80watts. does anyone know of a diy bluetooth board that would do a good job thumping these speakers? i have no clue i wish i could just fix the amp in it but when i took it apart each speaker wire has female spade connectors to go on the speaker hookups and one of the rubber boots had slipped down and welded itself to the woofer basket and it looks like several caps have ;popped or leaked ill try to show a pic or 2 2 couple pics

That unit is 1997. Apparently they are a trouble prone unit. I did find the service manual, which is bare bones to say the least. But it does contain the circuit diagram and board layouts. The circuit is looks as if it should be readily serviceable as long as the ICs are available. Being 25 years old, that is probably a big if.
