BTW if that receiver doesn't have enough component ports you can always by a component switch. I used to use one preHDMI. I even got the my Harmony remote to control it for me.
Thanks for the suggestion, ill consider if i get more stuff for it, i doubt cause its a setup that its not meant to grow, although its the one that i use the most .

As i matter of fact, ill probably test the svideo first (has 3in and 1 out) as all my interconnects (8 years old) are svideo... so before investing in new interconnects ill check if i can get the osd/gui with it, if not ill buy some component cables.

I'm kinda feeling like a kid on christmas again... i want it now :D, but its gonna take maybe a month or two, coming by boat, way to expensive to send it by air to me.

Sup John (im assuming you are john garcia back from HTF), its nice to see you still around, you help me a lot with my first setup back in the day where phil iturralde was making huge deals about the JBL NSP1.... till today still had the same setup you help me out.... but now my marantz is dying.
Yes, that's me. I am still on HTF once in a while, but things are pretty slow over there.

IMO, the 2310 is a better receiver than the 608 anyway, so I don't see a reason not to go that way.
