Need a New Reciever

Hello everyone,

So the time has come where, I don't necesserily NEED a new receiver but the one I have is a low end Pioneer VSX....something from 2005 and I would like something better utilize my system.

My current setup is:
50' Plasma, XBOX 360 (HDMI), HD DVD Player (HDMI)

Front Speakers: iKON CM6500: http://www.sunnyelect.com/Clearance/CM6500.htm

Rear Speakers: iKON CM500: http://www.sunnyelect.com/Clearance/CM500.htm

What would be a good cheap priced receiver that would suit my setup?
The room is an open unfinished basement with carpet.

Should I just go with a cheap Denon or Pioneer again with the proper out/inputs i am looking for?

What's you're budget? Do you need 3D support (HDMI 1.4)?

Well I am sure its not much different than the states seeing the dollar at par...maybe $50 difference.

I like the Denon 591/1611 myself. It goes for about $300 in the US.

at that price, you might consider the Onkyo SR308 from www.visions.ca

$298 with free shipping is a decent price, but if you are in the Toronto area you could also look at going to Canada Computers who are currently offering it for $279.
