Need a little help picking out a DVD player!

I could use a little help with selecting a DVD player. I want one that has a multi-disc carousel, it will used for both music and movies. I am not interested in anything that is Blu-Ray or HD-DVD right now, I don't have a TV to take advantage of it. I will probably be purchasing one of them in a year or two when prices drop. I would be putting a lot of emphasis on it playing music as well as movies, when I do get a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player it will then be used only for music.

I was considering either a Denon or Yamaha. I went to a local shop and one of the salesmen was leading me towards an Integra DPC-7.7. I can't find any reviews on it anywhere. Any thoughts one way or the other? Any recommondations would be appreciated. I do want to stay in the $300-400 dollar range. Thanks ahead of time.

Have you considered the Oppo DV-981HD. Seems to do a lot of things right, including good upscaling to 1080p, plays SACD, DVD-Audio, and the price is reasonable.

I really like the 5-Disk Panasonic my brother has. I believe its the F-87.
Had no trouble setting it up for him. There was an audio difference from his last DVD player. But his last DVD player was crap. So not a fair comparison.

(Maybe someone can jump in, but wasn't there some reliability & quality issues with the Integra and Onkyo DVD players? Maybe thats old news?)

I've been seeing a lot of people tallking about the Oppo, but I want a multi-disc player. I have not even looked at the Panasonic players at all. None of the shops I frequent even carries them. I might have to branch out and look elsewhere. Thanks for the feedback.

I am really curious if anyone has some feedback on the Integra players at all? I am supposed to go check one out later this week and would really like to here from someone who has some experience with Integra.

CD and DVD players

Snapper,
The CD and DVD changers are not as popular these days. If you want a quality upscalling DVD player, I would recommend one of the Oppo's. I have the entry level DV970HD which works great with my 32" LCD. They are an internet direct company so you have to order from their site or Amazon.

Add a CD or DVD changer for a $100 for your CD music transport. Anything with a digital optical or coax output should work fine. Some of the DVD changers aren't good at simple functions like random playback on all 5-6 discs.

Instead of the CD changer, a lot of people are using an iPod type source or streaming music from a PC with the SqueezeBox3 or something similar.
