Need a 5.1ch receiver with the following...

I am looking to purchase a receiver, at least 5.1ch. If it's 6.1 or 7.1 I don't care. I need it to have at least 2 optical inputs and at minimum dobly pro logic II.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions for what to buy. I am looking for the best one I can get for under $500.

Those are easy to hit standards... See if you can pick up an old Onkyo TX-SR601 for under $300. If you can find an open box RX-V1400 or Denon AVR-2803 that would rock as well...

"old" being a relative term...

when Clint says "old" he means a last year's model (this year's model being the 602, which apparently has a lot of issues the older model didn't), which might still be new in the box and never opened. Here's a place to look at several options for the price he described. I don't think he meant "old and worn out"
