NAD versus Denon or Yamaha

Have any of the writers and evaluators at audioholics.com ever reviewed an NAD receiver? Will they be looking at the new T773? The specs look great. While it does not have DP11x, I was told that there will be a software update in about 6 weeks at no charge.

In looking at the Y 2400, the Denon 3805 or 4208R and the NAD T773, I think that the pure power of the NAD will blow the others away. Any comments? Sonic quality versus gimmicks? The NAD has not mic input and auto setup.

I am leaning towards the NAD. Love to hear from any of you especially someone from the site.

Cheers

I personally would get a NAD reciever or amp over anything the Ys and Ds have at any price point. You're right in that their sonic power can blow away anything they have. That's because they are conservatively rated, using their philosophy of Full Power Disclosure, as opposed to the others that are anything but conservative. Feature-wise, I won't discount the Ys and the Ds as they do have impressive digital processing capabilities. You may want to consider Rotel and Harman-Kardon as well.
