NAD 214 Amplifier

Found one locally for $200. What do you think? Its either this or a Hafler DH 200 for $150.

Of course try to get the guy to go lower on the NAD. One went recently for $135+35 shipping on ebay.

If it's in mint condition $200 would be right about right. I think $175 would be better and justifiable. The Hafler, while cool, is probably overpriced. It would have to be mint to fetch that price.

The NAD has a much larger power supply which leads me to believe it should be significantly more powerful given both amps are class a/b.

Both are in excellent condition. The Hafler just flat out looks sexier though at 30 years old leaves me wondering how the internals are holding up. Ive been looking at the upgrade kits on ebay to replace the parts myself.

I'm going to test the Hafler tonight.

Got the Hafler last night. Beautiful unit! Heavy as hell and has huge heatsinks attached on both sides. Sounds lovely.

I'm going to see what I can do about modification.
