All,
First off, happy holidays. I want to thank everyone who provided me feedback during the planning phase of my home theater build. We will begin building in the Spring but until then, I am nothing but excited about what is yet to come. After much deliberation, I decided to go with an 7.1.2 Atmos configured system. Reason? Everyone I have spoken with that has experienced this technology has great things to say about it. Below is my finalized system. Thanks again to everyone!

Samsung H7150 75” Television
Klipsch RF-7 II Home Theater System
Klipsch RS-62 II Surround Speaker (2)
Klipsch CDT-5800-C II In-Ceiling Speaker (Dolby configuration recommendation for ATMOS)
Marantz SR7009 ATMOS Receiver
Oppo BDP – 103D
Harmony Ultimate Programmable Remote

At this juncture, I am set on my choices. Allot of hard work from everyone and research brought me to this configuration. Take care everyone and God bless.

I don't see a subwoofer listed. Please tell me it isn't a Klipsch sub.

Yes it is a Klipsch suwoofer: R-115SW Subwoofer. Sorry you do not like it. In my audition of the system, it worked fine for my needs.

I looked at SVS; however, since the R-115W came as part of a package, I decided to give it a try.

IMO, the system looks fine to me with the exception of the Atmos speakers and the sub. The sub, because you're overpaying for something that won't perform as well as similarly priced ID brand products. The Atmos speakers because I think that money is better spent on a second sub first. Now I'm not discounting getting Atmos, I just think that if you haven't maximized the performance of your 5 channel or 7 channel system first, then you're leap frogging something that will 100% provide system performance improvement for something that may or may not improve your system.

Fuzz: thanks for your feedback. My decision has really already been made. I am already over $11,000 between all my components. In addition, the Klipsch reference system sounded phenomenal in the showroom. I am wiring my new theater for a second sub and will eventually go to tow SVS PB-13 Ultras. In the interim, I am sure the R-115W will do the trick. The beauty of my system is it is up-gradable to better performing Klipsch speakers. In speaking with Klipsch and several of our audio cohorts, this is an excellent system at the price point. By the way, I am purchasing the system, which is normally around $6999 for $4250 from a certified Klipsch dealer. I feel great about this purchase but appreciate and understand your concerns.

If it sounds good to you, that's all that really matters.

Although I will mention, and this is not to denigrate the deal you're getting, that for big companies like Klipsch the markup is pretty steep. Klipsch marks up the speakers 50+% and sells to dealers, who then mark up at least another 50%. This allows them to "deeply" discount items and still make plenty of profit. You just have to be aware of stuff like that when buying from B&M stores and it helps put what you're paying in perspective. This can be an advantage to buying ID, depending on whom you're buying from.

I get the beauty of a plug and play system and I bet this Klipsch sounds good.

I don't really like the sound of the horn in Klipsch and sure, I would go with a PB13U for a sub but just going out and getting a really good set up, all at once and being done with it is cool too.

I would like to see some pictures of the set up. Congrats man, you have a better set up than most people so enjoy it and I would have went with the ATMOS.
