Hello again,
I just finished building my subwoofer and am ready for speakers. Here is my dilemma. My sub will go very low, probaly 10hz with some great output, but I have been told that it might have a problem going high. My original speaker choice was the M&K s-150s that have a lower frequency range of 80Hz. They are THX, movie speakers. This is for a dedicated HT, no music. So, is there any way to tell for
certain how high my sub can be crossed by looking at its response curve? I just hate to buy 2 fronts and then I have a big frequency gap between my subwoofers response and that of my mains. Here is my first EQ'd response with the Behringer Feedback Destroyer. I know it needs some work, but this is the actual first measurement.

If it won't work, it won't work.
Another option is a full range speaker. I like the energy C-series, but haven't heard the new RC series. Frequency response of 31Hz-24Khz. Would this be enough of a full-range speaker to set the mains as "large" and just run LFE to my subs, or do I really need a 20-20Khz range speaker to do this?
Lastly, what would I happen if I got the M&K's and there was a problem crossing at 80Hz, so I crossed them at 40Hz, and go another mid-range woofer that had higher extension and crossed it at 80hz? Would that just get very complicated?
Thanks everyone,
Roly
