I have a Sony 42 WEGA LCD tv (8 months old). I have noticed that when the TV is off and on occasion when on and the screen/scene is dark that the middle of the TV looks faded. It is like someone shining a flashlight from the top of the screen to the bottom as the "faded" effect gradually gets wider. I haven't noticed much at all with TV on (only rarely) but always when the TV is off or just when it is turned off/on as the screen goes blue before shutting down/turning on. My friend has the same TV and also noticed this effect and I have seen similar effect on another friends flat screen TV (it is not HD but is rear projection). Anyone know what causes this and should I be concerned.
