OK...having read many posts and reviews and lots of looking and listening...here is my current shopping list. Any feedback/advise would be greately appreciated as this is a bunch of money and I want to avoid mistakes. Thks!

While I have not had the opportunity to audition the speakers you intend to purchase, they seem to have a fairly loyal following. If they appease your ears then that's all that matters.

What I will suggest is for the price of the pv1000 you could step up to some heavy hitters from ACI (musical + depth), SVS (isd/2,plus,+/2 or ultra series) or the new vtf3HO from HSU. I don't know much about the pv1k so I'm just offering what I would look into for that price . Also for speakers I love my rockets from av123.com if you haven't checked them out before please for your ears and eyes sake find someone who lives near you and audition them or just check out the web site.
