My latest addition to my growing PC sound system has been a new subwoofer. For under $80 (shipping included) I built a pretty solid little sub that adds some decent thump to music and games. It hits down to 30Hz, compared to my old sub which would bottom out at 40.
I purchased the Foster plate amp from here for just $32:

There are screws on top because I don't have enough clamps, I had to use a combination of both to hold it together until the glue dried.
I haven't decided if I will finish it yet. I may just throw some carpet on it.
