My home town of Moncton N.B. made the news last week...it was a very sad day for that city

Three RCMP officers gunned down, another two sent to hospital by a lunatic last Wednesday. The funeral was yesterday. Moncton hasn't seen a crime like that in 40 some years.

Well, that sucks.

The generosity of the Moncton people is something to behold. All the hotels were booked by police officers from all over Canada and the US to attend the funeral so people offered up 900 homes so that the remaining police could have a place to stay.

It's great when the community sticks together. This world needs more of that, and not just during times of duress.

I saw the story last week. Very sad indeed. Too bad that amazing things have to come about as a result of tragedies.

I saw some footage of the funeral on TV and seeing this choked me up:

I see that. I didn't realize it was the same incident until I reread your link more closely.

Like I said someplace else, some people just need killin', and I don't mean the police.

I shed some tears while I watched the funeral on the 11:00pm news. I feel for the families
