My favorite subwoofer story

Back in the 1980s, I sold electronics for a living. Well, I sold electronics anyway. We were a private chain of (I think) 5 stores that sold mostly automotive electronics, but some home. This was back when Rockford Fosgate was a big seller, guys wanted massive subs in their cars (even if they couldn't fit), and often paid from a roll of bills they pulled out of their front pocket (generally with 1 or 2 hundreds on top, some 20s, 10s, 5s, and a core of 1s depending on how big they wanted to make the wad look). A guy came in, naturally I asked if I could help him, and he said he wanted 2 subwoofers. "What size?" 15", of course (way too big for his car), then I said, "Okay, 4 ohm or 8 ohm?" The reply? " "Nah, I only need of 'em." I'm right proud of myself for not laughing. As you can imagine, it took a bit of explaining about impedance and what would actually fit once they were in a box and installed, but in the end he left a happy customer.
