It's hard to see the relative perspective in the photo's but the prime listening/watching position from the screen is 9ft. THe TV is a Samsung 43" DLP with a HD box and VCR underneath. The other components are in the cabinet to the right. I use dual fan rack mount from the rear to keep the Yammy rx-v2500 nice and cool. Also use an IR relay system so that I can control all the components even with the main cabinet doors open in front of the 'rack' so-to-speak. You can see the 'mains' in-walls on either side of the furniture and the sub is located on the floor near the right cabinet. It can't be seen while sitting on the sofa or from the perspective of these pictures. There are in-ceiling surrounds and an axiom VP150 above the TV. We love it! The picture quality is excellent. We have a ton of control over ambient light during the day with the shutters on the windows. THe room acoustics have been tricky to say the least. It's a large room with laminate flooring but we have overcome most of this with the large sofa, wall treatments and a huge area rug that we had custom made out of a large-pile carpet. THe sound is incredible but I hope to improve it yet again by replacing my current in-walls with axiom products. As you can see the upgrades are complete. All speakers are Axioms now: (2) M22Ti's in Custom finish as mains, a VP150 center, and EP350 sub and (2) QS8's as surrounds. All speaker placement follows the Dolby HT setup guidlines, Equalizing via Yamaha YPAO and tweaks courtesy of my ear. It sounds amazing and looks just as good. The pics don't do it justice! I had several samples sent to me and was blown away by the heartland maple; just got super lucky By the way, axiom customer service is second to none. Good thing I don't live in Canada, I'd have to move next to the axiom store Best regards

I have a similar setup and my only gripe is when using an Entertainment Center like this, it is a real hassle to tweak the equipment and wiring (and I like to tweak). The bonus is it is very WAF friendly and from the looks of it, your significant other had a say in things.

The sub is overkill for my room. Its, fast, tight and accurate but I only turn the volume up to about 20% gain and crossover at 80 via my receiver. The sub is set so that it's own crossover is defeated and all the processing is done via my Yamaha V2500. The photo of the sub is a little misleading. There is actually 34" between the face of the sub and the sofa. The photo's don't do justice to the overall appearance of the setup but suffice it to say that it looks almost as beautiful as it sounds. Kind regards, BM Last edited: Oct 27, 2005

Per Axiom, this is preferable to having the tweeters located too high. I had asked for advice about this via email and they actually recommended that I try it this way. I just haven't updated the pics. I'm not sure if there really are any sonic differences (at least any that I could hear). Maybe it's all in my mind but they'll remain right-side up from now on.
