My Denon sub just stopped

I bought a Denon avr 487 from someone on Marketplace and it worked great for a couple months until an idiot came to my house and started changing settings on the receiver like it was his. It hasn't worked since. I have a different sub hooked up now that works fine but it doesn't beat like that Denon did. Any ideas what it could be? Denon customer support was absolutely no help

If another sub works fine, then the problem is the Denon sub, not the AVR.

Denon sub is Probably just defective.

Is there any way to get the sub repaired since Denon no longer makes speakers? I'm in NC

Probably cheaper to just buy a new Sub these days.

You don't know if the Denon sub's Woofer is defective or the Built-in amp is defective. Or both.

Can't imagine any Denon sub is worth repair.....what model is it? More likely the amp than the driver, but who knows without some testing....
