I wish I still had pictures of my HT at the stage your at but my hard drive cratered and I lost all the before photos.

Looks like you have got off to a great start and doing a really nice job. The planning is very apparent and that is something everyone should appreciate.

Keep us posted on your progress. I, and many others, are excited to see it up and running.

Good Luck!!!!

Update: October 26th 2008 (#2)

Walls painted, finally... 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of color later and I'm just about ready to wire up the wall sconces... it will be nice to not have to work with that 1000 watt work light all the time.

The color on the walls really makes it come alive, don't you think? It's not as vibrant orange as it looks in the pictures... in room its a very bold but warm burnt orange color.

Ah, I see. You must pick up anything you order from across the border yourself then huh? I have been having many pains paying all the duty and taxes and such from ordering things from the US lately.

It might sound odd, but most of my gear is sourced locally. I don't really go shopping for stuff in Detroit. There's a couple of local shops here that will come pretty close to US pricing and I don't really mind paying a small premium to support the local AV shops. The only big item I got in the States was my Rotel amp but I got that while on vacation and took my annual personal exemption at customs. That's the way to do it.

Things are looking very good. I like the color. Congrats man you are going to have a great room.:D

When I finally move out of my 500k 1,400 sqft home in California I'm going to put in one of these. I can't wait to purchase an affordable 4,000 sqft home in Colorado.

Ha ha ha, nice one.

Anyways, I have been busy painting the other parts of my house, but I finally have the carpet installed and the room temporarily set up with some old equipment... so I'll snap some new pics as soon as I can.

Nice work Porsche!

A little late here, but a nicely done room you have there...I cannot wait to one day have a dedicated space...Congrats!!! :)
