Hello! I am picking up a 100wpc alesis (not the best) studio amp today for $30. I would like to pair it with a Grant Fidelity tube DAC and a small phono preamp to drive my small B&Ws and a powered sub.

Could the non tube output on the DAC feed my sub and control its volume?

Would this amp give me better sound quality over my Yamaha low end AVR?

So the amp is installed and it sounds far better than my AVR! A lot louder too. I am surprised no one wants to weigh in on this? Did I ask a dumb question? I don't know very much about this but I am trying to learn. Maybe I will call GF to find out how to power my sub from their DAC.
