my bd player cant read discs anymore!?

i have the latest firmware update on my bdp-121 bd player and it keeps saying to me...''disc non compatible''...is this something wrong with the player or the update is not good...

I would think if the update failed, it would not play at all, so something else may be wrong. Does it play DVDs?

yes it reads dvd's..just tried it and it works fine..only blu-rays it cant read...

I don't see anything online about this player having any issues, so maybe try reloading the latest firmware again? I had an issue with my Oppo and that was one of their suggestions.

well it seems like my pioneer bdp-121 died and i bought the new samsung bd-c5500...works very good and its very fast compared to the pioneer...the PQ is awesome.

Seems like many of the Pioneers are known to be relatively slow. Congrats on the new player

thx...i can even state that the PQ is better with that samsung and like i said it is very fast and it can read mp3's while the pioneer was not....
