Actually, an amp with more continuous power can sound better. Dynamically. Having more continuous power available will allow for much cleaner and less stressed transients and dynamics (when played at the same level of a lower powered amplifer). Basically, it would amount to more headroom. Other than that, I do not see how it could actually sound better?
