So..... I am taking my son to school at 7am today and he tells me how his new shoes feel smaller. I was thinking to myself.....these are brand new for Gods sake. How can they suddenly feel smaller? So after a LOT of digging, I learn that he was playing a game in the GYM the previous morning in his socks, and he traded shoes with another boy afterward. Whether it was an accident or not is not totally clear. They are the exact same make/model, only the shoes he wore home were 2 sizes smaller!!
My son told me he wanted to keep them because later that same day....he kicked the kickball "really good' at recess wearing them. BWahahahahahaha.....I wrote a note for my son to give to his teacher this morning explaining what happened, and asked him to give it to her. I can tell he was not too pleased about the note....
I just sent his teacher an email. It will be interesting to see..........
1. if my son gave his teacher the note.
2.. if I get the shoes back.
Either way, it cracks me up. It sounds like something I might have done back in the day. Before we went inside the school, I knelt down in front of him and sort of game him hell for trading shoes when he started crying. I instantly melted....gave him a big hug/kiss....told him it would be ok, and that we would get his shoes back.
LOL....funny kid stories, anyone?
