So..... I am taking my son to school at 7am today and he tells me how his new shoes feel smaller. I was thinking to myself.....these are brand new for Gods sake. How can they suddenly feel smaller? So after a LOT of digging, I learn that he was playing a game in the GYM the previous morning in his socks, and he traded shoes with another boy afterward. Whether it was an accident or not is not totally clear. They are the exact same make/model, only the shoes he wore home were 2 sizes smaller!!

My son told me he wanted to keep them because later that same day....he kicked the kickball "really good' at recess wearing them. BWahahahahahaha.....I wrote a note for my son to give to his teacher this morning explaining what happened, and asked him to give it to her. I can tell he was not too pleased about the note....

I just sent his teacher an email. It will be interesting to see..........
1. if my son gave his teacher the note.
2.. if I get the shoes back.

Either way, it cracks me up. It sounds like something I might have done back in the day. Before we went inside the school, I knelt down in front of him and sort of game him hell for trading shoes when he started crying. I instantly melted....gave him a big hug/kiss....told him it would be ok, and that we would get his shoes back.

LOL....funny kid stories, anyone?

I have a 5 week old daughter. I'm always kissing her on her cheek. Last night, I went to kiss her good night and she puckered up and kissed me back. I know that she's way too young to know what she's doing, but it was oh so cute. Wifey and I both melted.

I just got a response back from his teacher...........

"Hi. No, this is the first I’ve heard of this. I just spoke with Colby…he said that he and Ethan switched shoes yesterday morning at Prime Time. He said that they played “sock soccer” and when it was time to put shoes back on, he put Ethan’s on. He said that he threw the note from you away today, because he and Ethan traded this morning and ended up with their own shoes. I hope this takes care of things. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns. I don’t really know any more since it all happened at Prime Time. Thanks."

One out of two isn't bad........LOL

Theoretically.... he should come home today wearing the correct shoes.:p

PS...Prime Time is a before school program the school provides.

I can't stop laughing. I know the teacher got a chuckle out of it too.

Kids do the darnedest things.

This reminds me of a joke...

Marlon asked the teacher to help him get his shoes on at the end of a busy day. After quite a struggle with the shoes, which were a little tight, Tessa finally got them on. 'They're on the wrong way round, Miss,' mumbled Marlon.

She realises that he is right; they are on the wrong feet. Staying calm she and swaps them over for him.

'They're not my shoes, Miss,' Marlon murmurs again.

Tessa fights hard to keep her cool and asks Marlon why he hadn't told her before. She then kneels down again and helps him pull the shoes off.

'These aren't my shoes, they're my brother's and Mum told me not to tell anyone.'

At this point Tessa can feel tears coming. She helps him back into his shoes. She gets him into his coat and wraps his scarf round his neck.

'Where are your gloves, Marlon?' asks Tessa quietly.

'Oh, Miss, I always put them in my shoes!'

II like it when my wife & I are sitting in the same room, and my oldest daughter asks for something (like - can we adopt a new kitten) I’ll tell her no, we’re not going to get another cat, and she’ll turn right around and ask my wife the same question. She hasn’t learned the tactic of asking dad, being told no, then asking mom & saying “but dad said it’s OK”?

Sounds like a great kid.:) Maybe you can get him another pair of shoes for kick ball but maybe only one size smaller. When I played hockey I used to wear skates that were way to small but I could skate better......:D

My 5 year old son overheard my ex gf and I talking. I had asked her how she liked her new Blutooth headset.... My son chimmed in, "She has a BLUE TOOTH!!." The funny thing was he had the look of disgust on his face......Kids are awesome!

Little kids crack me up with the things that come out of their little mouths. Our 14 year old is now coming home and asking us if we missed him. To which I say; do I know you?
