I have Bose 301 Series IV speakers. When playing symphonic CD's they often sound a little weak in the base region even though they each have an 8-inch woofer. But they sound quite full and rich down to seemingly very low frequencies when DVD movies are played. This has to mean that the typical music CD lacks adequate low-frequency encoding, which I guess is good for the subwoofer industry. I'm therefore thinking of adding a Velodyne VX10 subwoofer. Good choice?

The VX10 is decent. As a matter of comparison, my CT-120 (which I happen to be selling) will go much deeper and louder.
