Sounds like you have a nice-sized listening room. Personally, I wouldn't go with an active monitor. I'm not a fan of BASH amplifiers beyond usage for subs or desktop speakers. I like separate electronics, and for me the additional resolution is worth the price. (BTW, I have a Moscode 402B amp, CJ Classic preamp, and Harbeth Speakers in a man-cave).
I think BASH amps are essentially Class D amps. I have read that they are not always the best choice for higher frequencies. I don't know why or at what frequency these limitations begin to show.
It is noteworthy that Focal chose a Class AB for the 100W amp for the tweeters, but went with the 150W BASH for the Bass/Midrange drive. It would not surprise me if they considered the BASH amp an intelligent compromise to keep heat down. 250watts of Class AB can build some heat!
Which Harbeths do you have? I've been looking at and reading about them recently.

If Focal didn't make such good speakers across the board I would seriously wonder with that high ceiling of yours if they could adequately pressurize the room. But having heard their models in a couple of different showrooms I have no doubt you enjoyed their presentation.
My impression is the Solo6 Be's sound quite different from the Utopia 1028 Be's, but not in a bad way (to my ear). As full disclosure, I was not able to directly compare these two speakers, however, I did use my Paradigm S-2's as a common reference point.
At 113dB SPL (1 meter) rated output, the Focals will, indeed, pressurize my room more than I would care to experience! I off-load <80Hz to a pair of small subs, but the Focals put out plenty within their FR limitations.

I own the Super HL 5's, someday I hope to move up to the 40's, but with my twins college years coming quickly, it may take a while.

No, the Salk is far more Hifi than the Focal, which is more musical, having a very liquid, relaxed presentation.
So the Salk is more chocolatey, and the Focal is more intoxicating like whiskey?:D

Are you being sincere?
No. ;)
I'm demonstrating how to emit audio "reviews" from ones posterior, like the magazines that created such nonsense...and the sheeple bah in recital.

Obviously your definition and mine are not the same.
Bingo. You've got it now.

What is "toe tapping PRAT"?
Same as "musicality".

‘When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone,’ it means just what I choose it to mean, neither more nor less.’

‘The question is,’ said Alice, ‘whether you can make words mean so many different things.’
cheers,

AJ

p.s. - by definition, the excellent measuring 362 would be "HiFi", i.e, Fidelity/True to the original. Yet you say it is "Musical". So much for "Musical vs HiFi" myth/false dichotomy.

Speaking of the P362, I'm listening to them now as I type this.:D

Yes, I'm still surprise how good they sound compared to the B&W 803D.

The P362 actually has better bass and clearer midrange!

Of course, this is all according to memory.:D

The bottom line is, the P362 is indeed very Hi-Fi.

They may not be as chocolatey as some other speakers, but the P362s are Hi-Fi.:D

I think they require a "break-in" period of about 1 full week to get all the juices flowing through their Musical veins.:D

KEW/just listening - I love Harbeths!! I'm eventually going to replace my Ohm Walsh floorstanders with a pair of P3's. I never thought I'd go back to cone 'n dome speakers again, but Harbeths sound that good to me... They're musical and hi-fi... :)
