Hi,

Does anyone know of a av reciver that has two video zones each with hdmi outlputs? I have seen the Denon with one HDMI and one Component, but is there such a thing as 2 x HDMI out for separate zones?

Or is there some way to do this without getting two av recivers?

Thanks!

The Onkyo 885, 905 and Integra 9.8, 8.8 all have two HDMI outs but they are not for different zones and cannot both be active at the same time.

These models do have component out for their zone 2 but it only output sources from S-video and composite so not HD. Also they will only output analog connections to zones 2 & 3 so all sources need to be hooked up using analog as well as any digital connections that you want to use for the main zone. It is a pain but very few receivers or pre-pro's will output digital sources to their extra zones. If you look into Crestron Adagio http://www.crestron.com/features/adagio/ it may do what you want.

Marantz SR8002 (MSRP: $2099)

Marantz SR7002 (MSRP $1499)

Both can be found here: http://us.marantz.com/Products/172.asp

This feature is great for systems that would have, for example, a plasma TV for durring the day & a drop down screen for a projector @ night.

I have not seen a multi-zone/multi source (meaning playing two different video sources out of one receiver @ the same time) video option yet. Not saying it doesn't exist, just saying that there might be some quircky product out there that does it. It would more than likely be more cost effective to buy two receivers and a Harmony or Universal Remote with macros to switch between the two automatically.
