Multi room audio set up

Yamaha is making a wireless preamp available(August) that may solve many 2 zone issues.

I'm interested because I believe this would allow me to setup a 5.1.4 Atmos in my main room yet still have zone 2 control. My zone 2 now hijacks 2 channels from my Yamaha 2050.
Let me know what you think. is this a good possibility?

It would probably work. May be a slight audio sync issue with some external sources on your 2050. You can get this right now without waiting if you just get a cheaper say rx-v479 from accessories4less for $249.99. This has an amp built in but has no preouts so you can't use a high power amp with it though. Another option is the rx-v679 ($369.99) which has a second zone so you would get 2 musiccast zones from this unit in theory for a little more
