I watched 1st season and it wasn't terrible. Early parts of it were much better than later episodes.
Coming from touching this world ever so slightly long time ago I can somewhat related to the show.

Edit: I will most likely watch season 2

Season 2 Now Streaming! :) TLSguy take note. :)
My wife and I have just started watching season 1. We have watched the first three episodes. We have certainly enjoyed these episodes. It seems very well engineered.

This series is clearly based on the Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel. I was going to say loosely based but it is closer than that. There are many details that parody him closely, for instance he is always asking for "Blood."

He is the conductor and music director of the LA phil. He also maintains a close association with the Simon Bolivar Orchestra in Caracas.

My wife is a huge fan... I will watch the second season with her per her request, I saw some of the first season and it honestly didn't capture me...

I saw the first 2 episodes of season 1.

IMO, not very accurate or believable, but pretty entertaining.

I would watch for the classical music.

Whoa didn't know that. You're the best source for any info. TLSguy. Glad you and the wife are liking it. :) I think the leads bring alot of charm to their roles. I'm a fan. Being Mary Jane on Netflix is another smartly written show IMO.

Ok, so I finished today 2nd season.
Just as 1st season one was entertaining but uneven, 2nd season continues the tradition of being entertaining (a bit less so) and uneven (much more so)
Also pretty annoying are 25mins episodes - I guess I'm spoiled by UK's more typical 1,5h episodes.
First season: 7/10
Second: 6/10
