Not really a fan of Emmerich but have to say half of his popularity was his design work. (The other half maybe the absurdity of it all.) He likes destroying the WH LOL. Two of his best I thought was the alien ship's underbelly and the giant tsunami wave from 2012. The latter looks almost real. Big screen is much better though.
