Reminds me of reprogramming a whole macro, just to find out that the repeater plug was barely not all the way in (like less than 0.5 mm not all the way in).

got it installed. i can't see this as anything BUT a two person job!

me and two minions took 3 hours to do this. i was so tired, i couldn't see that the reason i couldn't get any picture was i had plugged into HDMI input 2 instead of 1 on the receiver (burned through an extra hour blaming the PS3 or cables for no picture)

manual labor, 2 : 1 (because i suck at manual labor)

it's not leveled ... i don't know if it moved after i leveled it or those level rulers just plain suck. it's driving me nuts looking at it. have to bring in the minions to level it again.

that said, i'm happy i didn't put it in the bedroom, because my sony lcd xbr4 trumps the "out of the box" PQ of this unit by a magnitude of 100. after tinkering with the settings, i'd say it's 75% the sony's PQ.

Levels (the tool) can easily be inaccurate and should be checked flipping them over or turning them around to see if the bubble lands in the same place each time. This is most easily checked on a level surface.

Here's a nice little write up on levels with it's own ideas on checking for accuracy. If you don't take the 10 or 15 seconds to check your level you may as well be using your eye and asking your wife if it's straight.
