Guns n' Roses - November Rain...

I enjoy Guns n' Roses, but not as much as the Beatles or many other bands... but the guitar solo in this song is just _fantastic_, IMO. :)

Nice to see Andy Latimer getting some notice.

I would add 'Definitely Maybe' by Jeff Beck and his version of The Beatle's 'A Day In The Life'.

Demetrio, heartbreaking? Not quite sure what you mean. Are you listing songs where the guitarist's playing on these particular songs is just oozing with emotion? That's what I'm assuming you mean. :) At any rate you have mentioned three of my favorite guitarists in that regard - Gilmour, Latimer, and Bairnson. All three, at least to me, can evoke so much emotion...and by playing so few notes.
In fact Ian Bairnson once said something to the effect of, it's not so much the notes you play as much as it is the ones you don't. - makes a lot of sense to me.

So, in addition to your fine list I would add:
Andrew Latimer - A Boy's Life; For Today; Drafted
David Gilmour - pretty much everything, but especially to me- Castellorizon
Ian Bairnson - Dreamscape
Carlos Santana - Europa and Samba Pa Ti
Chris Isaak - Wicked Game

Hi, Hawkeye, very glad to meet you.

As you can see on my profile, I am from Brazil, so English is not my native language. I am sorry if the word "heartbreaking" doesn't mean exactly what it was intended to mean. In fact I meant "emotional" guitar solos indeed. ;)

Demetrio.

Demetrio, please do not apologize, your English is fine. I didn't read your initial post closely enough, my bad.

Barclay James Harvest - The World Goes On
Boz Scaggs - Load Me a Dime (actually Duane Allman on guitar)
Porcupine Tree - Cloud Zero
Jeff Beck - 'Cause We've Ended as Lovers

Not really a solo, but the entirety of Little Wing, whether by Jimi or SRV.
