Onkyo TX-SR705 receiver
Focal 7W4411 woofers, 7" diameter - 2 per cabinet
Audiom TLR tweeters - 1 per cabinet
Need a subwoofer that will fit in a 22.5" H X 22.5" W X 22.5" D cabinet. My listening preferences are Barry Manilow, Queen, Paul Anka, opera, Roy Orbison, etc. Use is strictly for TV and music. I do not have a HT system and do not want one. Wife would not sit next to me on sofa if I did. Am seeking the best for the buck in the $550 - $600 range that will offer the best clean reproduction of music without boomy bass. Don't need bass that will rattle the fillings out of my teeth.
Because of cabinet size restriction, I am looking closely at the Dayton RS1200K 12" kit, and the Epik Valor. Am a bit uncomfortable in the lack of reviews available on the Dayton. Any feedback would be appreciated. Also, would like other recommendations.
